Our Primary School
Our Primary school focuses on independent thought and enquiry. We encourage our learners to think critically as they navigate new concepts and ideas within mathematics, the sciences, languages, humanities, and the arts. We focus on educating the whole student and provide learners with quality pastoral care as they make the transition from our Early Years School.
We support exploration and individual progress while providing for social and imaginative development. A continuous love for inquiry is fostered in the student, and they are encouraged and guided to use and apply skills learned.
Our School offers a wide variety of Co-Curricular activities which further broadens the student’s educational exposure and experience. These include Scrabble, Piano, Arts, Needlework, Drama, Chess, Cookery, Financial literacy, Leadership, LEGO, STEAM Club, Robotics, and Coding.
The IDS Primary Curriculum emphasizes intellectual challenge, encouraging learners to make connections between their studies in traditional subjects and the real world. It fosters the development of skills for communication, intercultural understanding and global engagement essential qualities for young people who are becoming global citizens.
